Hello loves,
I just want to take a moment to thank you. I know I haven’t written much yet, but there has been much more engagement and conversation than I thought there would be. It’s encouraging to know that there are even a handful of people that read the posts. Today I spent some time adding a few pages to go along with the “about me” and I would like to bring them to your attention. There is now a contact page where you can contact me directly should you find it necessary.
I was hesitant about adding the third page as I have attempted a similar set up a few years ago with an actual store front and had no success with it. In the end I returned to Etsy as a selling platform. Recent events involving Etsy and tiny businesses (me – I’m a tiny business) have me questioning if its even worth continuing using the market place.
Also… I’m terrible at promoting, marketing, whatever you want to call it – anything I make as a creative. I’m very uncomfortable saying, “Hey! Look at what I made. You can buy it here!” No matter how proud of said thing I might be. Or the fact that I made it to be sold in the first place.
If you’ve come to Room 7609 directly you might have noticed the become a patron or the buy me a coffee buttons on the right side of the screen (when viewed on a computer) The Patron button takes you to my Patreon site where you can sign up to become my patron (think patron of the arts) and depending on the tier you’ve chosen there are a variety of benefits to be had in addition to getting one monthly update from me.
The buy me a coffee button goes directly to ko-fi where you can make single donations (roughly the amount of a cup of coffee) but don’t necessarily want anything in return. (Technically you can also do that with Patreon but I like to give people options if they want them.) Both of these things help fund my creative endeavors.
The shop page is meant to be an additional way you can support my endeavors should you want to. It’s where I will rotate posting a few things at a time that you can buy. Items can range from enamel pins that I had made, knitting kits, and even things I’ve knitted or crocheted. To start off I’ve listed some soft enamel pins individually and as a set. I would appreciate everyone taking a look at the Shop page at least and perhaps give me a little feedback. Now that I feel completely awkward, I’m going to go work on a project.
Much love,
Charlie
