Pride Llama Kickstarter

For the next 28 days I am running a Kickstarter to raise funds for the next fandom llama enamel pin collection – Pride Llamas the Collection.

The entire collection features 10 designs – each celebrating a different part of the lgtbquia+ community. My initial ask is to be able to fund 2 of the designs with the hopes of reaching the stretch goal for all 10.

This is the third Kickstarter I am running and while I am familiar with the process this one has me feeling a little nervous. Previously I was able to share news about the Kickstarter on social media sites like Facebook and Instagram, however, this time around I am not as I left those platforms earlier this year. Not to put too fine a point on it, but it feels like I don’t have the same reach (which is probably true).

Should you feel so inclined, please share the Kickstarter information with others that might be interested.

The Weekend Edit

It’s been a rather intense week for weather. There is snow on the ground, the sky is blue, and the sun is shining. Those three things rarely happen in Texas at the same time. This cozy vibe is courtesy of a winter storm that came over the Rocky Mountains this week and caused havoc in several northern states. Los Angeles continues to burn with wildfires that began three days ago, fueled by high winds and dry conditions.

This is what I have been doing to keep myself from doomscrolling. (I’ve also linked a few trusted resources below if you are looking to support those who lost everything in the LA fires.)

Reading

I started reading The Invisible Life of Addie Larue by V.E. Schwab (bookshop.org affiliate link*) in early December but paused because I couldn’t focus on reading even though I wanted to read it. I’m glad I didn’t DNF this one. The questions the character and story bring up are interesting to think about.

Watching

I’m watching the first season of High Potential (imdb link) on Disney+/Hulu.

In the same way the Office is an American remake of the same show on BBC; High Potential is an American remake of the French show – HPI Haut Potentiel Intellectuel.

It’s an episodic crime procedural that I would say was similar to Monk, Lucifer, and perhaps even Pysch.

Listening

I’ve been listening to Paris Paloma’s newest album – Cacophony (Spotify Link)

And my favorite song from this week’s Discover Weekly is Sixteen Ton by Geoff Castellucci (Spotify Link)

And that my loves is that.
