Went to Get Lit with a friend today. I was pleasantly surprised by the number of non white authors at the event given the last time I attended there were zero.
I picked up a lot of cards but purchased very little in the way of books as I tend to read ebooks to leave space on my shelves for tomes that I really truly want a physical version of. (Most are graphic novels/comic collections and research/resource books)
I always look forward to finding new authors to read but that goes double for bipoc authors. Doesn’t matter if it’s fiction or non-fiction.
