There was a challenge on Bluesky in July to post a picture taken with a shitty/crappy camera every day. I had intended to participate using my Kodak Charmera but, as often happens, I got distracted and could not be bothered. I mean, I barely keep up with APAD so what makes me think I would follow through with this challenge?
Then I thought – what if I don’t worry about when I took the picture? Just make sure I post every day. That’s much easier to do. I don’t take pictures every day but I do take multiple pictures when I do. This would make the entire APAD series easier to keep up. So in that spirit I’m participating in the 2026 shitty camera challenge, albeit late, now.
This photo was taken with the Kodak Charmera which was inspired by the single use camera – the Kodak Fling from 1987. A digital twist on Fling, the Charmera has 7 photo filters and 4 photo frames.
